Goodmorning everyone!
Fall Services are in full swing here at Miller's Sport Center. The dock an lift is out of the water with a few little things to tidy up. The techs are running boats through the shop as quickly as possible. The weather is treating us fairly well for a fall in the Midwest, so we cannot complain. We are having some fun around the shop making a decoration for a contest held by the Community Growth Group of Shannon for Pole decorating in downtown before the Halloween Boo Bash that will take place Friday evening. We are plugging away at getting all of your fall services taken care of, and provide the level of service that you all have came to expect from your family at Miller's Sport Center. Our work boats took a beating in low water getting everything out of the water. Im not sure if my engine on the old crane was pumping more mud or water at certain times. We are looking forward to getting some work done on our boats this winter along with floating pier repairs and re-decking. We have one building ear marked to be our winter service in/out so we can get all of the work done requested before the ice leaves in the spring.
Thank You All from the bottom of our hearts for working with us in navigating the odd year that we had at Lake Carroll, and the Midwest with as dry of conditions as we have had. I talked to a farmer friend of mine, and this September was the dryest September ever on record for our area. That is a wild statistic since we started the season with low water in the spring, and had a July and August to get the lake to within 6" or so from being at Pool, then we watched it all evaporate for the rest of the season with no real rain to speak of. We are looking forward to a wet winter (hopefully after all of the boats are put away) so we can get some moisture back in the ground and fill Lake Carroll back to pool.
Halloween starts the Holiday season, and we wish you all a great Fall and Holiday season with friends and family! The pic for this blog was used as a little Halloween teaser for our social media, but I wanted to get it here so we all can enjoy!
Thank You and god Bless,
Matt
